Physics class:
In the beginning of it all we first learned that failing in the physics world is totally okay and that you always have to pick your self back up and re-work your whole problem out to find out your solution. We are learning about sound waves and how to use puff clouds ( variable substitution ) and methods to solve pipe harmonics and sound wavelengths. For example, we had to use this knowledge for our Whap-A-Phone slam poetry project and all the calculations to cut our pipes and to find out the sound we want it to make. We learned about the different types of waves such as longitudinal ,tranversal, and the electromagnetic spectrum. These help us notice deeply how sound creates itself from another prospective in the physics world. We reviewed the scientific notation and how to convert the measuring units and helped each other master this subject. This classroom is an environment of hard work and dedication due to the fact that we clearly take our time to go into depth on all of out new units such as measurements, waves, forces.
team banner :
For the physics part of the Team Banner project we had to get tested using the tools needed for cutting our pipes and cutting our wood , it was a really fun process learning how to use different tools and using them for a banner that would be hung up after. We worked on worksheets for scale drawing and being able to cut it in half. When we finished the worksheets then we had to transfer the drawings on the actual piece of wood. The drawings were transferred and were very good although you always have to be careful and being very slow on this process so you wont mess up at all. I learned you always have to take your time when drawing because some parts can become wrong or it may not be the size you wanted it to be. Lastly, We learned to always follow your scale drawings and being careful cutting.
Physics Concepts: For our Team Banner Project , I have learned that making your scale drawing is very important because all sides of the vest have to be equal and precise in order to look perfect. All sides had to be the same measurements and equal to one another because if one side was off then the whole vest would not look good. At first it was a little complicated to find out the measurements due to the fact that they all had to be the same and equal, but in the end the outcome came out good. I learned how to properly use the the jig saw and the clamps, It was a difficult process for me because I've never used a jig saw to cut a big piece of wood, but I learned that if your very precise with all your cutting and scaling then your banner will come out nice and clean. Overall, measurements is very important in order to be successful with your banner piece.

Reflection: I am very proud of handling how to work with cutting wood with a jigsaw and being able to have one very strong initial idea that everyone loved. When my group and I was on the process of cutting the vest, I was very eager to see the outcome and it came out just the way we all drew it and made me proud to see my Initial idea in front of me, It was something to really be proud of. I would next time be more careful and take my time to cut the vest because one side was uneven and made it look lob sided. Our edge chipped off due to carrying our banner on the ground to polish and paint it. I learned that it takes time and patience in order to cut and paint your banner , It also takes a lot of time but you have to keep pushing your self and not stress out about getting your scale drawing correctly the first time, It just takes time and practice in order to perfect your piece. Lastly, you learn how to communicate with your peers and how to bond more through one simple project.
dia de los muertos CELEBRATION slam whap-a-phones and drums
For the physics part of this project was mostly all cutting your buckets and assembeling your pieces together for your Whap-A-Phone. We all ordered buckets and pipes from the ' Quinnie Depot ' and when we finally got our pieces then we started to cut the buckets in half with the jigsaws and glued teo buckets to make one drum. We used our scale drawings from our sheets and jig sawed the piped to their matching lengths until we got our final results. My group assembles the pipes with plastic straps and finally painted our instruments black. Then we tested our Whap-A-Phone and the notes it played were very good at the end, althogh we had some trouble making our structure stable from the pipes, we took plan B and did not use the T elbow joints. Our drums turned out good and taped the top with plastic tape back and fourth so it made a reallg loud noise and beat. Our final day to present was sucsessful , and our instruments made the extra special touch to out group piece.
Physics Concepts: In order to figure out everything we had to work on some open and close pipe harmonics worksheets. Closed pipe harmonics are always divided by 4 and you have to use the triangle method which is velocity over frequency over your puff cloud. Open pipe harmonics are divided by 2 which is also velocity over frequency over puff cloud. In order to find out our music notes for our instruments we had to find the frequency and the velocity of that given music note. At the end of finding our total pipe length for the note we had to use the triangle method in order to find our total pipe length. Overall, this process was easy for me because it was an easy procedure.
Whap-A-Phone Evidence
Reflection on Whap-A-Phone: Overall I am very happy to say that this project tought me a lot from team work and time manegment. I learned that the final out come of your instruments may not be perfect but you always have to make work with what you have. At the end of the day you always have your team mates to help you and all come out with a final master piece and being able to reflect on your daily process and work. I finally learned how to use some tools that will probably be used again for another project but I had so much and really felt like a craftsmen and was able to design something and make it come to life. This process made my think that you always have to have patience and a lot of group communication and problem solving because along the run there will always be something that comes in your way but you and your group have to have patience and pick your selves back up. Lastly, I enjoyed my time meeting new people and reallt getting to know their group ethic. I worked very hard on this project and helped with almost a little bit of everything in this project, even though at times our group was off task we would work things out and keep working harder. I really cared about this project because I cared about doing really well and being proud of my self for making an instrument.

history of physics
The history of physics revolves around the whole world and is an important concept. All of these philosophers started something that left a mark and a philosophy in this world. The history all began with a thought that through time was able to expand its way onto something invented that will never thought of been electricity, gravity , law of force , math ex. Our whole history changed because of one person's thought and became to be known. All these philosophers had one initial idea and were able to expand it into a world of philosophies and discovered our nature and motion of law.
Physics concepts: In this project I learned many things about my philosopher Aristotle, he invested in motion and was the smartest man to walk on earth and was asked to tutor King Philip II son Alexander The Great due to his great intelligence that took him very far in life. He was very popular for being a greek philosopher and because he was first trained in medicine then was sent to athens to study philosophy with plato. He was under the supervision of Alexander The Great. His writings created a broad system for the western philosophy. One of the very important things that I was taught in this project was the time and dedication of these people and all the time they took to construct an idea and make it come alive as one. These people left a big mark on earth and these findings help us figure out how the world works now.

Relfrction on History Of Physics: I honestly absolutely loved everything about this project because it involved drawing your favorite philosopher over and over until you got the perfect draft that you were proud of. Im very proud of my self for drawing Aristotle on my own and being able to transfer it on a bigger sheet of paper. It was really amazing to see my self draw a person and being able to notice that you can do more of what your capable of and it was the greatest feeling to paint and make it look real. I think maybe nect time I should make my drawing more of a cartoon looking drawing because it looked like a real human. I learned that drawing takes a lot of time and effort in order to be happy with your outcome, I also was very passionate to draw and paint because it trully is something that I really enjoy but never have time to do , so I really took advantage and cherished this past week painting and drawing.
Science current event:
The science current event is a homework we do in our physics journals every tuesday. We pick a current event on Miss.Quinlan's DP and their is a whole lot of events you can choose from technology to media to space ex. You choose one and read it and deeply think about it and write one pargraph on your opinion about this current event. Its very important to know about events that happen daily and everything that happens around us that we did not even know of. Science current event is a very neat idea because each day we learn more and more discoveries and technology that we did not even know of before. Then we pick 3 or 4 intresting words and define their meaning on our compbooks.
Through out all the science current events I've done I learned that everything in this world is important to know about because we all need to be atent on how people find out about new creations and technology. My prespective on science changed differently because I really in depth analyze and think about the current events that happen daily and apply them to my daily life to make it more intresting. These articles have really tought me a lot about the prespective of scientists and people with many ideas in their heads. A lot of intresting discoveries have been found this year and amazes me because peole have the whole time in the world to figure out something that can initially change the way you think about science and the daily news. Science current event really are fun to read and write about becsuse you learn something new that you never knew of every day.
Science Current Event Opinion: " It only takes six genarations to turn a brown butterfly purple" is about scientists trying to fugure out ways how brown butterlfies adapt themselves to their enviroment to turn a beautiful violet purple color. Butterflies are very intresting delicate creatures that are once catterpillars and then turn into amazing flying creatures that make our world a little brighter. This discovery is very benefitial because butterflies can change color by their surroundings and natures natural lightings. Its very important to know about the smallest things in life because some times the smallest things in life that seem to not be as important because insects can define them selves to be very intresting. As soon as I have seen this artiflr on the website it really cought my eye because I've always had an intrest in knowing how butterflies adapt them selves.

Electronics:
The electronicss part of this ROV controller included sodering, waterproofing, stripping wires and much more. This control gives you the power of controlling your ROV and moving it underwater. The controller works due to the sodering and wires we all had to do. You had to be very careful with this controller because you could get anything wrong at any minute. Everyone had to make this controller easy to controll and very accurate or else it would not work. This part of the prokect was very hard do to all the components it asked for.
Physics behind: You had to be very careful sodering because everything had to be perfect in order for you to get your controll right. When stripping wires you had to make sure that all your wires were correctly colored and placed. It was somewhat hard in order to get the sodering correct and the wiring & waterproofing. This contoller required many steps and you had to be very very careful with what you were doing. You had to strip wires and waterproof your motors and use toilet bowl wax to get your motor in your canaster.

Final Reflection: I am very proud of my self for sodering and making this controller help because I never thought I could possibly make a charger that worked for this robot. This project was very hard because I had never made an underwater robot and when I saw it infront of my eyes it was so amzing and I felt so great about my hard work. I am glad that this project worked out to be a good one because I never thought I liked working with robots as much. I was surprised I could sodder without my hands shaking. I would not pick my friendc next time because their can be a lot of arguments and non sence. This project was vey fun because I loved working underwater and making all this robot magic happen with my close friends.
Underwater rov
The ROV project is an underwater robot handly remoted by a hand made controller that had to be made by hand. This project involved creativity and accuracy and a lot of hard work. This project involved pipes zip ties drill holes and wax motors. We had to put floaties on the sides in order to really make our robot equal and balanced. This robot had to be tested in a pool and a water tank in order to see if its egible for the water and under water life.
Physics behind: The process behind this ROV was somewhat hard. You had to cut the pvc pipes and make sure that all the pvc pipes were cut correctly. This ROV had to be in perfect size in order to stay bouyant in the water. We had to scale draw our robots and zip tie our motors to the side of the pipes. We had to drill holes so the robot can be bouyant to the floor and water tank. We also had to make sure that our motors were correctly on their.

Aqua Marine Weebly : This link will access you to all of the ROV work we had done these past months as a team.
Final Reflection: This project was probably the hardest and fun projects I had done in physics class. This project required so much hard work and dedication. It was very hard to scale draw our robot and get it the perfect size we wanted it to be. Out initial idea was a star robot but our scale drawings would be off and we would have to buy a lot of elbows with our own money. This project brought many people together because you got a chance to hang out with the whole physics crew.

general relativity and quantum physics
General Relativity is the physics behind worm holes the galaxy the planets and physics behind time travel and time stretch in the universe. This sevtion of learning will help you understand the physics behing history and the galaxie. It is very intresting to learn about physics and it's power to stretch time and being able to travel through a worm hole. This section of learning will help you understand why their are solar panels in the galaxie. This section will help you learn the physics behind our solar stystem and really help you analyze the earth.
Physics behind: We watched interstellar and learned about the 4th demension and why you can travel through worm holes. We learned that in the movie interstellar, black holes can be a very scary place to travel through but you have to know the exact time you are waisting in order to come back to earth alive. We learned about traveling through different dimensions and the way they work through our solar system. We learned about time stretch and how time stretches when you use your phone and when you travel. Lastly I learned that the galaxy does have an end to it but has never been seen.
Final Reflection: This section was very intresting for me. I loved learning about the worm holes and black holes and the way that they work in our universe. I absolutely did not know that we can travel to different dimension in space. I loved watching the movie interstellar because it really helped me understand more about the black holes and the way that they work. This was my favorite section to learn from because I got to learn about black holes and it is super intresting how these can be so powerful and strong.

science curiosity
To be curiouse in physics is to ask questions about the concept that we are learning about. Mrs.Q gave us a note card that was labeled " Curiosity Card " and we had to write anything that we we curiouse about in the movie. You can ask from anything to what is a black hole and how much time will it get to go to mars ex. This helped me a lot because she answered a lot of my questions. This section helped me really push my thinking and reallt get me to the next level with my thinking and asking questions. To be curious in class is to wonder anything that you are thinking is hard for you.
I have learned a lot about physics, I learned that it is perfectly okay to ask any questions you have. I have a very strong feeling that someone is going to travel through one of our black holes and achieve in the future being the first to travel in one of our black holes. It is very cool to think that black holes can be such cool places to be in but very scary and risking. I had been thinking that physics was going ti be boring but talking anout interstellar changed my mind about it and now I am eager to learn more. This section really pushed my thinking and helped me learn more about a whole other world we live in.

Its pretty amazing how we can travel through time and really stretch time. I loved in the titanic film where they used under water ROV robots to discover titanic underwater. It is an amazing idea to think that you can also make a change in the world with technology. I loved how these robots can dive thousands of feet into water and really capture HD photos of udnerwater objects and ancient items that can make a positive re-enforcment. I loved learning how time can strech and we can travel in time by flying in a plane and traveling to other sides of the world today. This experience in physics was unforgetable and will never fail to make me smile.
subatomic particle
The subatomic particle project involves particles that represent different areas. We had to pick a particle that represented us and had to do research on the particle. We had to hand sew the particle and make a particle that represented the qualities of the particle online in the zoo website. We had to sew on a face and make it like we wanted it to be and make it to be cartoony. We had to cut fabric and make it our own and represent the qualities it says on the website.
Final reflection: This project made me very mad because I had to keep re doing the sewing. I did not like doing this because we did not have to do this in much time and only got like 2 days to do it. I only liked decorating it and making it my own version of a graviton. This project taught me how to make it a better particle and make it better. This was a hard project because sewing is not my strength and I got very frustrated doing it.
